About Me
Hello, I'm Ella,
Within my practice, I draw on a range of modalities to help clients gain a deeper understanding of what they are thinking, feeling, and the ways that they are behaving. It can be exhausting feeling stuck in the same patterns and clients can come to therapy confused as to how to change. I am honest with my clients when I say that therapy won’t always feel great. Change is often uncomfortable and often things have to be deconstructed first before they can be rebuilt. It is my belief, however, that what makes that bearable is knowing there is someone there alongside with you.
I see personal development and continuous training as an important part of practicing ethically. Due to this I have completed additional training in bereavement, suicide, polyvagal theory, and attachment. After starting my private practice, I saw a need in my clients to have the space to speak about sex, sexuality, gender and relationships as many felt awkward or that they may be judged. From my training (in progress) as a Psychosexual and Relationship therapist, I have cemented my non- judgemental, sex positive approach to exploring psychosexual issues and relationships. Some of the issue I have worked with include:
-
Sexual dysfunctions including Erectile dysfunction and Vaginismus
-
Lack of intimacy (sexual, emotional, physical)
-
Communication
-
Low desire
-
Sexual identity
